Has anyone tried #PLEXUS products for their migraines? I am sure it has come up before around here. I have suffered from migraines for the last 8 years, at least one per month. Since starting on the Tri-Plex for Plexus, I have reduced not only that number, but also the intensity of each, If you are interested in more info, or more details about my journey, let me know. I am recently in the midst of a battle against the worst migraines I have had. I was controlled by Propanolol for years, but no longer. My new Neuro, put me on Petadolex, it is prescription in Europe, in the U.S. you can get it on Amazon. It kind of helps. Was taking Amitriptyline, didn't help. Now adding in Topiramate, or Topamax. I also take 400mg of B2, and magnesium. Meh. Some people have been lucky enough to get help. I am down to a mild roar most days. Not great but better. Today I used Maxalt, but the doc wants me to be cautious about those too because they can cause rebounds. Sigh. There is a lot I can't take, but I keep hoping.

When you have migraines do you have trouble speaking and understanding what other people are saying? It happens to me even at important moments and I don't know how to deal with it.

I've been having migraines everyday for the past week and they're really painful. Would this be considered as chronic migraines? I'm 15 btw

I have some of the worse migraines known to man. I was actually diagnosed with two different migraines; basilar migraines, and chronic migraines. They mimic a stroke and cause my left side to go numb. I am actually trying to get over one now.

Migraines are horrible. I found your video bc I have such a bad one rn and no one understands so I watch YouTube videos of people who suffer the same illness to make me feel not as crazy. My migraines also have that type of aura that kind of look like nats/ you're having a stroke. I wish it would just gooooooo awayyyyy

Have you tried sumatriptan? It's a painkiller only working for migraines. It sometimes help me, not every time and I don't know why, but every time it does help, it kills the pain completely. What also helped me was acupunctre, my doctor did that to me. It actually decreased the quantity of migraines I had so much that I haven't had a migraine for almost three months now and before acupunctre I suffered from it for at least once a month. My triggers are too much stress and tension of my muscles of my back or my nec, so they completely differ from yours, but I also have visual aura and sometimes even numbness in my arms or legs.

I hope my comment is helpful, at least a bit and I apologize for possible mistakes I made. I'm german, so I'm not writing this in my mother tongue if that makes any sense ;)

I find it kind of frustrating how migraines are split into em and cm. With cm it means you get at least 15 migraines a month. I get around 8-10 migraines per month which puts me in the em category. But to have em it mean you have had at least 5 migraines in your lifetime. I mean there is a big difference between someone with em who has a migraine every few years and people like me who get a migraine every few days (but not 15 in one month, that must be really shit). Does anyone else agree with me?
And thanks for the tips, I'll certainly be trying some of these out.

I did find this helpful. I am at the tailend of one right now. I took the imitrex pills and they helped. I did not knoe about the nasal ones. I will ask my doctor. Have you found any more triggers for your migraines ?

I've had chronic migraine since I was a child. When I was young, I didn't understand it and as I got older I still avoided seeing a doctor because of my fear of crazy expenses. Now I'm 21, finally have health insurance and I'm determined to finally see a doctor after all these years because I am officially sick of this torture! This video is super helpful, and for that, I thank you.

The only medication that helps me (although not always) with my migraine and related nausea is a combination of indometacin + caffein + prochlorperazine.

Holy shit…. im not alone…. I stared getting cm 6 months ago and it happens the same way every time. I start to see a small circle that blocks all vision and this it gets bigger and bigger and once it goes away BOOOM! This absolutely sucks, ive missed 35 days of school in the past 6 months and im still going as much as i can.

I am currently in middle school and I live with migraines. I've had them since I was a baby. My mother told me when I was little, I would always hold my head and say "head hurt mommy." My migraines have escalated to the point where I haven't been to school in over two months. Every year, I miss at least forty days of school. I have tried everything to get rid of them. Acupuncture, MRIs to see if I have a brain tumor (I don't), weekly massages, over 10 prescriptions, needles in my neck (occipital blocker), and I'm getting something in a few days called a sphenocath. It's a spray that goes all the way up my nose and sprays my main nerve that cause migraines. I highly doubt it will work though. My prescriptions have never worked. I have gone to the hospital a few times with severe pain. I have used a lot of the prescriptions you have and they haven't worked. So I'm currently dealing with a terrible migraine every day that prevents me from going to school.

I felt like I was listening to myself speak. I feel you. Day 3 of a horrible migraine for me. I've been eating Sumatriptan (generic for Imitrex) like candy. Thank you for sharing your migraine journey.

  16. Z. Turniap

Decaffeinated Green tea is something I've been told that helps. For me it does but only a little and it doesn't have a long lasting effect. Thanks for sharing this video. ♥

  17. Katelyn Sevigny

Wow! I've never been about to relate to anyone else about my migraines in the 13 years I've had migraines! Great explanation, I've also taken almost all the same prescriptions and been to the er many many times.. Love this video!

  18. Lori Adams

I would Iove to connect with you!! You do exactly as me, and others I know, fake it till you make it!! You looked beautiful making this video, and no one would guess you had a migraine. Of course there are times for me that I can't lift my head from the pillow. I am sure you can relate. I have had Chronic Daily Migraines for close to 10 years now. I never new that the Imitrex nasal spray was the two sprays being one dose. Do you give them together or separately?
Thank you for posting this. Migraine is so misunderstood, and can be just as Phsycological debilitation as they are physically. I am not on Facebook, but I am on Instagram.

I've tried imitrex in pill form and it didn't work. You're right about the rebound headaches. My neurologist advised me to take magnesium or alka seltzer if I had a migraine. He prescribed topimax whic takes about a month to kick in and prevent the migraines. However it has really bad side effects. Currently I'm not taking any meds for migraines. I was doing good for about 2 weeks and then the temperature dropped (I'm in Texas also) today which is the reason I think I have a migraine today. Peppermint oil works wonders, but I have to use it before the migraine too bad.

I've lived with chronic migraines for about 10 years now, when I get migraines I feel dizzy, sick to my stomach, blurry was and spots showing up in my vision. I've been to the hospital 2 times because of migraines. Lights and strong smells trigger migraines. I was sitting in class yesterday and I had a horrible migraine and the teacher wouldn't allow me to go to the restroom since I felt uneasy. And I just threw up in the classroom. Seriously though, migraines are such a pain and are horrible.

  21. Clarise Anne Westhafer

Did you know that it isn't just the peppermint scent that helps? It's the oil itself. Peppermint oil has a lot of good things. It stops antipathetic shock. Also helps pain (external).

I feel you! I've been dealing with migraines since i was 11, I'm 18 now. Heat, weather change, and menstrual period. Living in Texas, heat does not help you one bit. My migraines last usually four to seven days. I've been to the ER multiple times. Migraines are stressful. Many medications don't work on me.

Thanks for your tips. I am a chronic migraine sufferer too and have been thinking about making a video about it. I found yours while searching to see what else is out there. Hope you find your cure soon, I do believe it's possible but it's a long and painful road getting there! Ps. I too use the Migrastick and face masks! I also find massaging my face helps, as does breathing steam and using salt rinse for my sinuses (I have sinus symptoms with my migraines). You could also try acupuncture. After my first session I had no migraines for over a month! Good luck! x

When I was 7, I got my first migraine, I didn't know what it was, I remembers he intense thumping pain, covering my ears and shutting my eyes tightly, rocking back and forth and my mum was terrified and brought me to the hospital, I had a brain scan, nothing really showed up but due to the symptoms, the doctor knew it was migraines. I'm now 22, so I've had them for 15 years. I'm on pills called Migraleve or something (maybe a UK pill?), I've tried a lot of remedies and those head pads and roll on stuff, but nothing really works. If anyone lives in the UK and knows any good meds, I'd love to try one out! ❤️

I suffer with them since i was about 7 till now and still going till 14 but i have them litteraly 23 hours a day from when i wake up till 1 hour before i go bed its fucking terrible pain ive had tablets did nothing ive had most of these thy dont help. Trust me its worse than when i sprained my ankle you do not want constant migranes

Absolutely nothing worked for me. I was having migraines every single day and on so many drugs. (Also I was allergic to the stuff they give you in the ER). I finally decided to try botox and it totally saved me. Now I only get migraines like 3 times a week which is still a lot, but they're not as bad and it is way better than having them every day.

  28. Loz

I get 'stroke like migraines'. I take a small dose of pain medicine (prescribed) daily to keep them under control.
