I usually am good about eating dinner and brushing my teeth afterwards so I'm done eating until breakfast.Well today I wasn't that good with my schedule, I got lost in K drama and didn't brush early…. My dad makes this announcement of making ice cream bowls for everyone…and now I have this bowl of chocolate ice cream out of love. trying to lose some pounds over here .
I've found that getting enough sleep is a huge indicator of whether or not I am going to meet my weight loss goals……I sleep a lot. ( I also exercise and keep track of what I'm putting in my body) It works, but it takes discipline to get myself in bed at a reasonable hour.
I'm a vegetarian for 7 months now and I am just now starting to loose weight because it took me a while to get out of bad snacks, learning what to cook and where to eat out and now I am in my learning to de-stress and exercise better. Its like a year journey I am glad I made!

There are 3 components to weight reduction – exercise, diet, and motivation.

I drop a lot of weight when I'm stressed I forget completely to eat I just finished my first year of college and first semester was really stressful and I ate very little because I was so stressed out and when second semester came around and I wasn't stressed out I would just eat normally and I put on a lot of weight. I slowed down my metabolism by not eating 1st semester so my body stores up fat and idrk how to speed up my metabolism again

'Sleep and Rest' to me is surely the #1 thing to lose weight. The key to the door.
Six days a week I used to wake up at 6am for cross-fit; afternoon and evenings did blogilates or dance, ate healthily, but still plateaued. Not until I took a week off and just slept, did I see the changes catching up. Similarly, I worked out intensely for three months, and took 1-2 month off. Miraculously, lost more than I did during those three months of training. For my body, I figured it's like doing some contract project. I put in all the hard work, then get paid a lump-sum at the end of it. In this case, losing a lump-sum of fat. Perhaps, some people have a similar body or experience.

Well this makes sense, I've been working out for 4 months now, and I haven't lost any of my stomach fat. I used to use working out as a way of meditation and focus to block out any stress I was dealing with but now, uh oh, im getting sick of it, I'm getting constantly anxious all the time because I'm putting in all this hard work and not seeing results! Its this kind of BS that really makes my blood boil

Yeah I related this. I use to have to starve myself in high school to get and maintain but after high school when I joined the army I stopped worrying about my weight…I got a little bigger but it was mostly muscle …I liked being strong and I didn't care if that meant I looked bigger ( with clothes on, bc naked u could see it was sucked but nobody saw me naked except my boyfriend) I was a size 10 in the army and a size 8 (size 6 my sophomore year bc I was anorexic I'm a tall big boned girl so a size 8 for me is skinny ESP bc I was blessed with a big butt and thighs and wide hips but I still looked skinny) in high school and after high school I ate w.e. I wanted …I didn't stress about it.. I honestly ate pretty bad and excercised juts as much as I did in high school YET I maintained my weight …I didn't gain any weight. When I got out of the army I got a job working night shift and I started eating once a day at about 2 in the morning and was more stressed and I gained weight. I never lost it and then I got pregnant and I didn't gain that much weight while pregnant but 20 lbs before getting pregnant and 25 lbs while I was pregnant and then as soon as I had my daughter I lost 15 (from pure baby and all that stuff) but my hormones being all crazy made me SOOOOO hungry FOR TERRIBLE stuff and I gained back 10 lbs bc my body STILL wasn't use to eating that much…bc I only ate three times a day when I was pregnant bc I had to force myself which STILL wasn't enough for me ….ESP bc breakfast was very small. So I need to lose about 55 lbs …I'm trying not to stress and juts taking it slow and NOT dieting…diets aren't useful bc there not something I can do long term bc I hate healthy food like broccoli. So it's a work in progress…I don't own a scale (bc of my past eating disorders and obsessiveness) but I can tell if I lost weight by old clothes. I can't weight to juts get the weight off though so I dint have to think about it anymore and feel confident again!
yep. knew it was my sleep the whole time, but i got too busy. so on top of my mostly vegan diet.. and biking everyday ill need lots of sleep to recover all those 4 hr nights. good thing summer is only a few days away! thanks Cassey!
This is so true . I've been eating healthy and working out from cardio and strengthen classes but my weight loss had stopped. And I looked back when actually lost weight, I was not stressed from work nor any other factor. I've been very stressed from my job for at least six months and that's when I stopped losing weight. Time to relax, maybe head to yoga. Great tip!

you hit all on the head girl! i have a fitbit to track myself better and be more accountable. i was eating under what it told me to eat based on my activity. most days i was under 1200 cals..didnt loose actually gained 4 lbs that month! i have made an effot to eat breakfast and to eat more and clean and can feel a difference already. i wasnt hungry before but now i am and feel the food giving me energy

I've been eating a maximum of 1200 calories a day in healthy foods and working out 4 days a week for the past 3 months, but I can't seem to lose any fat in my stomach area. I'm just gaining a load of muscle. What is wrong with me!?
I hate workout. I just hate it. There's only one sport I love: volleyball. But our trainers haven't got time anymore to train us. I try to eat helthy, but when I eat healthy a whole month and don't see any results, it's just soo frustrating. 🙁

I actually have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Every bad memory or stressful thing that's happened to me in my life plays in a loop in my mind every single day of my life. I am manic depressive to where anything can bring me down, and kill any sort of motivation I have…And stress is pretty much at every moment of my life, even when I'm trying to be busy focusing on doing something, I feel stress.
Sometimes it just helps to breathe in, empty your head, and exhale. I know it sounds silly, but it works. Just really focus on emptying your mind from anything and everything. As soon as I do that, I think,"Okay, what do I need to do right now? What needs to be done?" and I go and do it without thinking of anything else other than the process of me doing it. It was extremely tough when I was younger and is even tough now and I am 23 years old. If I can do it, anyone I promise you. Remind yourself that you need to work on your goal of working out, and the strength and energy you want to put forward into your workouts and you will feel more confident, and more clear-minded on who you want to be.
You're all strong, and can do it! Don't give up!

Also, look into if you have a fatty liver! I just found out I have this after years of suffering with not being able to lose weight regardless of what I ate or how I active I was, constantly having no energy, depression, and many many morer. symptoms that made me miserable. Also, if you have elevated insulin levels it can stop you from losing weight!
For years, the doctors told me that I was perfectly healthy until I finally asked for an ultrasound and voila.. fatty liver. But I had to do my own research for 5 years to finally get to what was wrong so I could reverse it. It frustrates me thinking that GP doctors told me and I'm sure thousands of people that it was all in their head for years therefore prolonging people's suffering. (I am not anti- doctors.) I just want to do what I can do to get the word out!
You can begin lowering your insulin by taking vitamins like chromium and magnesium and begin healing your liver by following the diet (not a fad diet), and taking a liver tonic!
I am healing my liver and my energy levels are already 3x as much as I used to be able to! I have only been healing it for about 2 weeks now! I cannot believe how quickly I am seeing results! When you heal your liver, the weight will come off rapidly. This is not just something that can help with weight loss but OVERALL quality of life!

Well I were on diet and did exercise for 2 yaers and i didnt lose fat so its because of the stress thers no way im calm…
The only thing that makes me loose weight is to feel starvation for a while and after eat just enough. I mean not overeat. I also jog for 1 hour every two days.
What I eat is verdure, legumes, not much meat during the week and fruits and maximum 1 yoghurt per day. Depending on how I feel I eat just 1 dish or 2.
I lost 4 kilos in 10 days.
One has to be mentalized of having to feel starvation. Otherwise it won't work.
