    hi. i'm suffering from eczema, or rather atopic dermatitis (if it's not the same?) for a couple of years. it had spread all over one of my cheek, my jaw, ears and forehead (not to mention other parts of body). my doc usually prescribe me some steroid ointments. it's true that you have to be very careful about them. you cannot use them permanently. when it comes to your face, some of them can leave white spots (a kind of vitiligo effect, but not permanent) and can affect your eyesight

    I use face/body products by the body shop, the face products have aloe in them and i keep my body well moisturized and that has made all the difference in my eczema

    steroid cream should not be used longer than two weeks at a time on a small amount of your body…take this from someone that didnt follow this advice, and greatly regret it. There are a lot of products that work..If you need to know some let me know. good luck

    I just came across your channel and I'm really pleased I did though I noticed you've not posted anything in a long time. Is your eczema cured? If so it would be great if you could share your experience cos I'm struggling with face eczema and I've had it now for over 3 years. I use 1% hydrocortisone almost everyday…if I don't it comes back!! I feel there is no hope anymore 🙁

    Steroid cream is highly addictive if used over 5 days in a row. You should NEVER use it on your face. I used it for over 30 years on my hands for eczema and got addicted. I'm now suffering horrible withdrawals and found tons of other people suffering the same thing. Check out my story and pictures on my (no ads) website: Red Skin Syndrome or Facebook: Steroid Red Skin Syndrome and Skin Remedies. God bless~ Joey~

    I'm 13 and I've had eczema all my life and I've seen specialists and allsorts and then I started using cetraben and it's the best cream I've tried and NO greasy hair or skin, I reccomend it (:

    @eczemaexplained
    I think short term use might be ok. You're supposed to use it for a week max to clear up your skin, and not use it regularly. Just be careful with it 🙁 What moisturising cream did they prescribe you? My doctor gave me a new one a few days ago, it's called Doublebase, so far it's great! I used Diprobase before but it's thick and greasy. Doublebase is more jelly-like if that makes sense!

    I also saw a dermatologist and got prescribed steroid cream. I'm now 22 & at uni, & not only has it given me wrinkles, I strongly suspect that it has had a lot to do with my eczema becoming a permanent fixture in my life. I can't use any makeup because it makes me look like an old woman, my skin flakes constantly even when I've just moisturised, I can't sleep on anything but a special silk pillowcase because otherwise I wake up with a swollen face. I feel your need for a quick fix though… 🙁
