The vision statement is a very powerful tool. Once you put your recovery goals in writing, then you begin to attract the people and the resources you need to attain your vision.

Sorry for your suffering Scott, writing the statement is just 1 important step, not a be all end all cure. It does take allot more, but reading a vision statement each and every day when you wake up and before you go to bed has legit healing benefits. When I was at my worst I was willing to do anything to get better so I wrote it and read it for months.

    Great video!
I totally agree that people must at least abstractly imagine that they can get better and be willing to go in that direction. When in depression, getting well seems so impossible, but with time that seemingly unrealistic thought will transform into a hopeful one and then after some more time it will become reality 🙂

That's how it was with me 🙂
And trust me when I tell you that I was very suicidal, but now I can't even believe how I managed to feel so bad back then.

very informative video.. I liked the tip about writing down a mission statement to read each day.. im definitely going to try it ..it is also true when he says "what you think about becomes your world" sometimes Im guilty of dwelling to much on how bad my withdrawal of my antidepressant is and fearing ill never get off them. when really I should be focusing on the positive of how well ive done to so far have cut my meds by half and how ive come through some rough periods but I keep fighting
