Hi, I just started watching and your family is awesome. I am from Eagle, CO but am currently watching from college in Tampa, FL. I just wanted to say that I can personally relate to getting a diagnosis that has no cure and has to be managed for the rest of your life.

Oh.. Just another note about service dogs. Having a service dog makes travel to different countries a little bit more difficult. Since you had asked me the pros and cons of having a service dog. :)

I have Type 1.5— Also know as Latent Autoimmune Diabetes of Adults. I was misdiagnosed 3 years ago at the age of 33 with Type 2 Diabetes. I'm trying to spread the word through my YouTube channel that if you have an autoimmune disease and have been diagnosed with diabetes you really need to get tested for Type 1 LADA Diabetes. It is a simple blood test that measures the GAD antibodies. If I had continued with Type 2 treatment I would have died. More and more adults are getting diagnosed with Type 1. It is no longer just a disease of children. I am so grateful for the Dale Tribe and their willingness to spread the word about Type 1!!! It is so different from Type 2 and many doctors/nurses don't understand the difference which is truly scary!!!
