On May perhaps 18th, 2010, in my 52nd calendar year, I was diagnosed with Strep A Streptococcus bacteria — superior regarded as flesh-ingesting ailment. I was in intense care for more than a thirty day period in Kingston Basic Healthcare facility. I lost my remaining leg from the hip — a hip disarticulation — in get to save my existence.
Even more amputations ended up wanted due to serious circulatory difficulties which resulted in the reduction of my remaining arm underneath the elbow, proper leg underneath the knee and my fingertips on my proper hand.
These days, I live a quite impartial existence. I use an electric chair in my dwelling, which permits me to have entire freedom. I have figured out to stroll with the aid of prosthetics and custom made-designed crutches.
I can do most day-to-day responsibilities on my individual, but I also have a supportive spouse that fills in the place I can not. We try to live each individual day not as if it is our previous, but as if it is our 1st. We encourage you to do the similar!

Wow!!! You are one bad ass warrior!! That had to be one rough recovery to go thru. Thank you for sharing your story.
I'm 25 and had to deal with this in October 2015. I felt so sick like a severe case of the flu and woke up one day with a swollen thigh and scrotum and was in so much pain. After 5 surgeries and a skin graft I was out of the hospital. Doctor told me I almost lost my life and was close to losing my leg. I'm now recovering and the surgery left my leg and groin with hige scars and nerve damage but I'm okay with that.
I am 21 years old suffering from this disease right now. I am sitting here at 2 in the morning literally crying my eyes out, This has to be the most awe inspiring video I have ever watched. Thank you for sharing your journey with us, it's given me and i'm sure other people who are suffering the disease hope.

I couldn't watch this video without telling you what a fighter you are and a true inspiration. It is obvious the amount of hard work you have done to get to where you are. What an inspiring story! You are a real hero!
Your amputations remind me of videos you see from soldiers returning from Afghanistan with IED injuries.
Those are some serious amputations. Glad to see you survived.
How did you acquire the infection? Does the blood circulation transport the infection from one limb to the other?
Did all this effect your brain?
So brilliantly inspiring
