I got my wisdom teeth out 4 days ago, and I don't have too much pain, but my jaw is stiff and my face is still swollen, what can I do to make the swelling go down?

I got mine remove a few hours ago. I just ate ice cream and cake. Was it OK to eat the cake. I know I have to remove the cake out my teeth with salt water.

Please help!! I got my wisdom teeth removed 3 days ago. But on Friday (the day of) it was at 10 in the morning . So my right side hurts but it's all good. And my left hurts a lot and it hasn't even closed. It's a big hole. I don't even think they gave me stitches

I just got my wisdom teeth removed 3 days ago! Luckily I didn't even swell up! The only annoying thing is that the inside of my mouth where stitches are hurt a lot! Pain killer pills they prescribed were heaven. I would set it up where you can take it before bed so you can sleep well. Other than that I just miss eating by regular day by day food and no being able to do sports :(

unlike this assistant suggests, DO NOT rinse your mouth for several days with anything or you stand the chance of dislodging your blood clot which will result in dry socket.  I don't know why she recommends a lot of rinsing.  My dentist said, "Do not rinse your mouth for one week after extraction."

For all of you that are getting your wisdom teeth out: I got mine out yesterday around 1pm. I was expecting to only have to get two out. Turns out, all of them were BURIED and lying horizontally. I was sedated and the next thing that I knew they were slapping my arm telling me to wake up. I had a little bit of nausea when I woke up, but as soon as I ate a couple of bites of milkshake I was all good. I personally blead a lot, that's just me. I barely get a cut and I bleed a lot.  I don't have a high pain tolerance at all!!!!! I've got stitches from here to kingdom come and swollen beyond belief and it doesn't hurt that bad. It feels like I got kicked in the jaws but that's it. Only time the stitches actually bother me is when I don't drink enough and my mouth gets dry. But all in all, a good experience. Good luck to all of you!!! Don't worry one bit, you'll be just fine. Love you all!!!!

Yeah it is, dentists and doctors have been urging patients to use advil and ibuprofen, which dont help anything but swelling. You're wrong stfu. When i tell them im in pain, im in pain. The same thing happened when i cut the tip of my finger off. Nothing predscribed, they told me to take tylenol, wtf is tylenol gonna do for exposed nerve endings smart ass?
