This almost seems too good to be true. I read that crunches are more harmful and that planks are more effective and less harmful overall. I care more about losing fat than gaining muscle. I will try these at home.

"Planking, planking, planking…" everyone said it to me and I just knodded my head and was like: "yeah! I know!" But I didn't! Thank you so much for schooling me without making me feel like an idiot! Gotta get planking now!!! ;D

My whole body seems to vibrate (shiver, rather)
I started doing it a few days ago, and I do about 30' now
Just today, this shivering started about 15' in

When you have a pelvic tilt like anterior pelvic tilt, your body could be so used to it that you don't even know you're doing it. As mentioned in the video, it is very important to keep ur abs and glutes tight, it'll reset your body and keep it 'properly straight'

Hey I just started excercising to get six pack abs. I do 30 pushups, 50 crunches, 100 5 pound weights and 50 of those hand squeezing things. I do two sets every day. Is this enough? How long will it take?

I know someone who can hold a 12 minute plank. He can almost hold that long with an arm and leg extended off the ground. As you can imagine, he's super fit. As a personal challenge, I'm working to beat that record. So far, I can only do 3 minutes.

Beginner: Plank with knees to the floor.

Intermediate: Plank with toes to the floor, keeping your body striaght.

Advanced: Plank only with forearms touching the ground, using your mighty abs to hold up the bottom half of your body

Expert: Plank with no body parts touching the floor. Use only the gravitational force generated from contracting your abdominals. Don't forget to keep your body straight!

I've actually just started incorporating the plank exercises into my routines. And must say in the two weeks I've been doing planks I can most definitely not only feel but see a difference. So the plank is an exercise I will continue to use from now and see what progress I've made on a 4 weekly basis. For such a simple (I mean in terms of just using your own bodyweight) form of exercise, the plank is very beneficial.

I did experience my arms shaking after only a short time into the plank when I first started doing them but now I can go much longer, which to me means my core/abs are getting stronger. My arms too I imagine.

    Great exercise I personally think.

Can you help me ? i think im doing something wrong but im not sure, im doing exactly everything you say in your video, my friends check my positioning etc and they say everythings fine. In doing so i can hold it for 6 mins and in the total 6 mins i dont feel a thing on my abs, im not even ripped, i have a 6 pack but it doesnt stand out (i would call it a very subtle looking 6 pack). My friends can only hold it for 2 mins or so and they are ripped (gym junkies). I hear this is a great exercise for core but it doesnt seem to work for me and i would like it to cause its a good exercise for abs
