    I came here after reading that this is the exercise that crippled bruce lee for the remainder of his life and really limited his martial arts and ability :PI came here wanting to see what to avoid haha, not gonna do this exercise ever if it cripples a god! lol

    Lots of comments against this exercises. I've seen a variation of sorts where you hold a plate to your chest with your arms kriskrossed and make the same hinge motion. Would that strengthen the same things without the risk?

    Bah… she's good about the pushing with the glutes and hams, but straight away she comes up onto her toes to rack and unrack. As for bar position…. low bar would be safer, but it isn't mandatory. If you're using a 10-12 range it shouldn't be crazy heavy anyway.

    Yo dude, i am supposed to do 50×4 of these in my routine but i just cant put myself to do it, looks way to weird. Any other exercise i can do that accomplish the same thing but without the excessive movement
