Everyone wants to quit, people are just affraid to quit or to start to quit. People saying they love to smoke are just liars or in complete denial. Ask them if they want their children to smoke… anwer no, their grantchildren… answer no, would they start again if they could go back in time? answer no. They love it? Not a chance. So like I said, everyone wants to quit, but you need to plan it carefully, and stick to your decision and never go back.
You are absolutely correct. One must want to quit, and decide to quit. That is the only thing that will make you quit.

idk.. i can go all day without a smoke without really trying. but as soon as i dont have anything to do.. i go and grab one. i just get bored i guess.
No joke… I think the same thing all the time.

I agree 90% of the struggle to overcome smoking is mental, 10% is physical.
you don't need will power. you needed will power to start smoking, because it's disgusting and stupid 🙂 to quit you actually just need to understand that:
1. you aren't losing anything
2. you will be happier without the cigarets
3. you are a drug addict and any mourning or feelings of loss are just withdrawal pangs
4. you don't have to do anything to feel better, just don't smoke
Yes, it is mainly a mental thing. But you don't need willpower. You can eliminate the cravings and tension that causes them with hypnosis.

Actually, you hare 1/2 correct. It has a lot to do with distracting yourself and nothing to do with willpower (the ability to struggle through).
Its all about will power and distracting yourself from thinking of it 😉
You say that you had to "try" – and that's the problem: When we "try" we get the opposite, and the harder we try – the more we get the opposite. It's the law of reversed effect in action.
Instead of trying, how about taking inspired action? In other words, learn how to communicate with your unconscious and negotiate with it to automatically take away the stress and the cravings.

Hey i smoke and i certinly dont look like shit!! I'ts not like we aint trying to stop. Its hard. Its like someone telling you you cant ever drink tea or whatever it is your addictict to. Yes we do no its bad for us. thats why we are on this watching this video for support!!!!

Sorry to disappoint you, but the physical addiction to tobacco is only 10% of the addiction. The mental/emotional addiction is 90%

I've checked out the psychology of smoking by using hypnotherapy & NLP to help smokers quit for over 30 years.
One of the psychological components of smoking is that people put things (cigarettes) into their mouth for relaxation and pleasure. Their unconscious got programmed for that, because as an infant, when they got upset, their mother put a bottle or a pacifier into their mouth. They got distracted and relaxed or even fell asleep.
