Ever since i started following your advice, I've been making all kindzzz of Gains!
A few weeks ago I pulled my left peck benching 335. I had to use machine to for a few weeks,They are great for warm ups. Now I just do dumbbell bench. I plan on going back to barbell but the dumbbell bench is a much more intense workout.
Warm up on machine –155 x 10 x 1 sets : 200 x 10 1 set: 255 x 10 x 2 sets
Dumbbell – 125 x 6 x 1 set: 115 x 10+(or until I can’t do any more) x 2 sets
100 x failure x 2 sets
When I am done I can’t even lift my arm over my head. – all kinds of gains –
You can do whatever the FUCK you wanna do.
For Chest and Shoulder press, Personally I think Barbells are better because you don't have to use a lot of your energy setting up the weights. You immediately use your enery for pressing and balancing. As for having strength imbalance, just workout in front of the mirron and make sure the bar is always straight when doing your exercises, just like DB's you make sure they come up at the same time. Free weights FTW!
