Discipline

How can I use the power of intention?
Pause
In order to create your goal and intention, you will need to pause. We are usually preoccupied and do not have time to just breathe and pause for a moment. Step away from the cell phone, social media, computer, television, and video games. Do not let your mind get caught up in thoughts, emotions, mistakes, or the past. Simply let your mind pause. Meditation is a great way to practice this step.
Breathe and Release Your Desires
Breathe in deeply. Exhale. While you do so, let go of your desires. You should be in a restful state as you breathe in and exhale out. Ask yourself: “What would make this a great day?” Say whatever question comes to mind about what you wish to achieve. And then, listen for your answer. The answer may be simple. After you set an intention, do not worry or think about it.
Stay in a Calm State of Mind
Because you have released your desires, you should be in a calm state of mind. Do not stress over your intention. You should still be aware of the set intention, but it should not control your thoughts or feelings. In order to address and reconnect with your intention throughout the day, you need to stay in a content and calm state. Worrying will only hinder your ability to achieve your goal.
Be Open to Other Possibilities
Sometimes things are out of our control and we cannot perceive the outcome of our goal. Because some things are uncontrollable you will need to be open to other possibilities if they come to you. Realize that you may need to let the universe take control, but you will still need to stay focused and calm when reconnecting with your set intention.
