I try to reintroduce carbs after 3 years without them but I keep getting horrible insomnia everytime I try to get on them. Why on earth do I have problem digesting carbs now?? I'm desperate for a solution. Thanks!

sorry babe the absorption of sugar is not quick as the food
has to be digested in the stomach first and then goes to the intestine
which can take up to four hours which will not show up in you blood.
your assertion that it spikes blood sugar is silly.

It's nut's the misinformation . Complex carbs are the body's main source of fuel a scientific fact . Don't believe much of anything you hear today as a great man of God predicted for our modern times Isa 59 : 15 [ Niv] bible . Especially from Dr.'s they are the worst when it comes to diagnosing and treating you. They will ruin you Mk 5 : 26 [ Niv] bible . "Whole" grains as well as "whole" dairy are great for you 2 of the 4 original food groups . How could something "whole "be bad , ridiculous . There are no bad foods except for meats , there are clean and unclean meats see  Lev 11 : all [ Niv] bible . There's a variety of fruits /veg, as well as grains, and dairy . Check out my simple blog site you might like it . foundation of nutrition the bible .Google it .

The glycimic index is bogus and has no value of importance. Glycimic load on the other hand is the important factor that needs to be taken into consideration when choosing what to ingest. You are making fructose sound like a healthier alternative to white bread (without added sugar), very misleading!. Cheers.

lovely video, well researched and well paced.

But someone could imagine fructose as being good because it is low GI. From i read half of it gets stored as fat no matter what you do. So its not impossible to get fat from fructose.

Misleading info. Pulls it together a little bit towards the end but two main fallacies —Fructose converts to free fatty acid's, generally associated with the less success in weight goals, is not a slower absorbing substitute for glucose for cellular energy. GI is about balancing food combos to prevent insulin resistance not choosing one single food over another. Please see a registered dietitian for more guidance on these subjects.
