When you’re visiting Universal, it’s going to mostly be about the attractions. The Wizard World of Harry Potter is a great place to snap a few pictures in Diagon Alley. These days, the exposure it has received makes it the iconic landmark of the City of Angels. The atmosphere and the vibe of this brief tour is intense and larger than life. If you’ll be snapping selfies and landscape photos, mushy captions are out of the question. You’ll need some tough captions that show all your grit. We asked our moonshine suppliers with Tommy guns and Fedoras for suggestions. Here’s what they came up with:
- “Here’s the place where Bonnie and Clyde went out in a blaze of glory!”
- “If they wouldn’t rob a bank with you and cover your back in a gunfight, they don’t deserve you!”
- “Be my Bonnie and I’ll be your Clyde! What do you say, baby?”

San Antonio Captions for Instagram – Alamo City
San Antonio, also known as the Military City, USA, is one of the best destinations to visit in the Lone Star State. It is the home of the legendary Alamo church and fortress that played the key role in the Texas Revolution.
The city has a huge number of other important sights, making it impossible to cram them all into a single article. However, we’ll provide the appropriate captions suggestions for your photos taken at each of the must-see sights and venues we’ll cover.
Alamo Captions
A trip to San Antonio without a visit to the Alamo Mission is simply unacceptable. The Alamo holds the title of the most popular landmark in Texas. It was originally built as a Spanish church, only to be turned into a fortress subsequently. The fortress is most famous for the battle of the Alamo in 1836 which turned the tides in the Texas Revolution. Go and see why Texans say “Remember the Alamo” even after almost 200 years.
The Alamo has a unique atmosphere that’s charged with pride and nostalgia. This monumental church-fortress still inspires awe, even after all these years. If you’ll be snapping some selfies on the site, the best way to go about captions is to be serious and respectful of the soldiers that gave their lives in the Texas Revolution.
- “Behold the most glorious place in all of Texas, my friends, the place where the Lone Star’s freedom was forged.”
- “The story of the siege was breathtaking and inspiring. Remember the Alamo!”
- “They fought the good fight and many gave their lives here at the Alamo. Salute the brave Texian army!”
Tower of the Americas Captions
The Tower of the Americas is one of the most popular and recognizable landmarks of San Antonio. Primarily, it is an observation tower that offers 360-degree view of the city. However, this tricked-out, super-modern tower also offers a host of 4D experiences. You can opt to see a space shuttle up close, fly over the Lone Star State, see a football game, and many other things.
The Tower is a modern building with a minimalistic design. It dominates the landscape and has a powerful vibe. The 4D theatre provides the high-tech component that the younger generations might find very appealing. Here are some caption suggestions for the photos and selfies you’ll take at the tower:
- “I just flew over Texas onboard a space shuttle in the 4D theatre. How cool is that?”
- “A visit to the Tower of the Americas is the fastest way to get to know the Countdown City.”

Tower Life Building Captions
The monumental Tower Life building was completed and opened back in 1929. It was done in the then-popular neo-gothic style, even featuring gargoyles on the façade. The building was the home of the first Sears department store in the city and today has one of the biggest flags of the United States hoisted on the 100-foot flagpole on the building’s roof.
The building is superbly elegant, especially the heavily decorated ground floor and the entrance. The gargoyles perched near the top give it a somewhat spooky vibe. However, the building really comes alive at night when the lights come on. Here are some suggestions for the captions for your Tower Life snaps:
- “Was that Batman on one of the gargoyles? I could swear I saw him there a moment ago.”
- “Another rainy night in San Antonio. The Tower Life building makes me feel I’m in downtown Gotham.”
- “The flag on that pole must be at least 30 feet wide. What a majestic sight to behold.”
The River Walk Captions

San Jose Captions for Instagram – The Capital Of Silicon Valley
San Jose is one of the most expensive cities in the United States. Located south of the Fog City and the San Francisco Bay, it has something for virtually every type of tourist. So, if you’ve booked your ticket for the capital city of Silicon Valley, make sure to pack your phone or a camera to snap some memorable photos. To make your Instagram posts complete, we’ll provide some caption ideas for the city’s premier landmarks and places.
Lick Observatory Captions
The Lick Observatory has been at the forefront of the astronomy for more than a century. It was founded back in 1888 and is still functional today. The observatory sits over 4,000 feet above the city and the Silicon Valley, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. However, its mighty telescopes can show you stars and galaxies tens and hundreds of light years away.
This secluded and tranquil place silently towers above the city, representing its dedication to technological advancement and discovery. Whether you decide to snap some landscape photos or to post a photo of the night sky, your captions should reflect the importance and the unique vibe of this place. Here are some captions ideas for photos taken at the Lick Observatory:
- “San Jose, the capital of the Silicon Valley, sits at the palm of my hand. A breathtaking vista.”
- “Take a look at the night sky and imagine where we’ll be in a 1,000 years.”
- “Seeing fiery stars thousands of light years away sent shivers up and down my spine tonight.”
Winchester Mystery House Captions
If you’re a fan of the bizarre and macabre, then you’ll have to clear up your schedule and visit the Winchester Mystery House while you’re in town. The mansion was built between 1884 and 1922 by Sarah Pardee Winchester. It has 160 rooms and has such oddities as doors that lead nowhere (open to walls) and stairways that end in the ceiling. It is also rumored that the house is haunted.
A tour around the Winchester estate is not for the faint of heart. It is shrouded in mystery and gives off a strangely creepy and dark vibe, despite its colorful exterior. Don’t be too surprised if you snap a photo of someone and they disappear from it before you upload the photo. The only rule for captions here is not to provoke the anger of the resident spirits.
- “I swear there was an old lady in this photo. She even smiled and posed in front of my camera, there by the window.”
- “If you don’t comment as soon as you see the photo, you will wake up in this house tomorrow. The only way out is to post a selfie from within the house. Good luck finding a smartphone in 1923.”
- “Just left the Winchester Estate. It was a blast. Wait, why is everybody wearing a Fedora and what’s with all the Ford Ts on the streets?”
Dr. Martin Luther King Library Captions
The Dr. Martin Luther King Library is a joint project by the city and the San Jose State U. It was opened in 2003 and citizens and university students can use it. The library has extensive research collections, including the Steinbeck, Beethoven, and Cultural Heritage centers. Numerous art installations, many of them award-winning, grace this beautiful library.
The vibe in and around the King Library is peaceful and academic. Tread lightly and speak softly while you’re there. The captions on the photos you snap here should reflect the intellectual and artistic flare of this place. Here are some captions suggestions:
- “Equality and prosperity have to be more than dreams. We have to make them come true!”
- “Take a look at the art installations around the library, they’re mesmerizing.”
- “Just got my book signed. I’m so happy! Now, off to the 5th floor to feast my eyes on the Beethoven and Steinbeck collections.”
San Jose State University Captions
San Jose State University is among the most beautiful places in the city, as well as the educational center of San Jose. It is famous for its great varsity teams, excellent quality of education, and a huge range of art facilities. If you have an open mind, you can find some great theater plays and music concerts there. The university grounds are also home to the Dr. Martin Luther King Library.
The vibe in and around the campus of the West Coast’s oldest public university is relaxed, academic, and not overly formal. This is thanks to a thriving network of art facilities on the campus. So, if you take some photos or selfies there, you should let your inner artist and scholar compose the captions.
- “If you need some food for the soul, visit San Jose State University.”
- “This bell was made in 1881 and is still on the campus. Now, that’s some tradition.”
- “The beauty of the Tower Hall can easily rival the halls of Ivy League universities.”
Hakone Estate and Gardens Captions
Hakone Estate was opened to public around 100 years ago. It is among the oldest Japanese gardens in the United States and the entire Western Hemisphere. The park spreads over 18 acres and is perhaps the most beautiful Japanese garden outside Japan. It has its own koi ponds, dry landscape garden, as well as bamboo and tea gardens.
If you’re looking for a quiet time to spend alone with your thoughts and nature, then the Hakone Gardens is the place to check out. Serenity is the main vibe you’ll pick up here. There’s no hurry, no pressure, only peace and nature. So, if you’re making a selfie at the garden or taking a panoramic photo, think of an appropriate Zen caption. You can even try composing a haiku. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it’s important that it is authentic and unique.
- “Motion in stillness and stillness in motion… Dry landscape garden is amazing.”
- “Nothing clears the mind like a cup of green tea and a walk through the garden.”
- “I now close my eyes, no clouds race across the sky, no clouds in my mind.”
Capture It and Caption It
Nowadays, if there are no photos on the social media from your most recent trip, it’s like you’ve never even been there. However, the photos you post are only complete if they have good captions. Choose them according to the situation and give your best to match them with the atmosphere of the place.
Have you ever been to San Jose? If so, what are your favorite sights and venues? Do you have other caption suggestions for our top picks? Let us know in the comments below.

San Diego has one of the most popular and biggest zoos in California and the entire United States. It has an amazing collection of wild animals, including pandas and even komodo dragons. The zoo is located in the picturesque Balboa Park neighborhood and offers some unique services. You can become a zookeeper (only for the day, though) or go with the keepers while they prepare the zoo for the opening in the early morning.
Despite the fact that it’s located within the city, the San Diego Zoo is a peaceful place, with only the animals making noise. The atmosphere is very relaxing both in and around the zoo. The lack of cages also gives it a vibe of freedom and compassion. Photos taken in the zoo should have the captions that match its atmosphere. Here are some suggestions:
- “Behold the komodo dragon. Bet you never saw one in real life. Have you? A stunning beast, indeed.”
- “Photos don’t do giant pandas any justice. They’re way more gorgeous in person than you can imagine.”
- “No cages. That’s the way to go, San Diego Zoo! I applaud you!”
Balboa Park Captions
If you’re planning a trip to San Diego, make room in your schedule to see the magnificent Balboa Park. It is a 1,200-acre park that’s home to the city’s most important museums. The Old Globe Theater is also located within the park. While it might take several days to see all there is to see, you can always opt for one-day tours if your schedule is too tight.
The park features stunning architecture and exudes elegance. Everything about the country’s biggest urban cultural park is sophisticated and classy. The park’s even equipped with a gigantic organ pipe that’s fully functional. If you plan on taking photos, you should complete them with captions that capture the spirit of the park correctly. Here are some suggestions:
- “A walk through El Prado is a sight for sore eyes. Just look at these renaissance buildings.”
- “We’ve got our culture fix this evening in the mesmerizing Balboa Park.”
- “If you chance upon Balboa Park, visiting the Old Globe Theater is a must. Just look at that beauty.”
USS Midway Museum Captions
USS Midway was decommissioned back in 1992. It was docked in San Diego and repurposed as a maritime museum. The museum gives its visitors a unique insight into the military sailor’s life, thanks to the self-guided tours audio-narrated by the actual sailors that served upon the ship while it sailed the high seas.
The gargantuan ship still looks awe-inspiring and intimidating as it did when it sailed. If you close your eyes, you can easily imagine airplanes and soldiers on the deck. The military vibe is still quite strong in and around the ship, so don’t be surprised if your kids start responding with “Yes, Sir!” Here are some appropriate captions for the visit to the USS Midway Museum:
- “Look at this beauty! She looks like she’s ready to lift anchor and sail out.”
- “Got our kids the Little Skippers Overnight Adventure. They had a blast and we’ve finally caught some shuteye.”
- “My sweetie and I on the deck of the longest-serving carrier in the history of the US Navy. Aren’t we gorgeous?”
Beaches Captions
The southernmost city on the West Coast also has some of the most beautiful beaches in entire America. Informally, San Diego is known as the surfing capital of the United States, owing to its specific climate. If you plan on taking your board with you, you can’t miss the waves at La Jolla Beach and Tourmaline Surf Park. Those looking for nighttime fun should go to the Ocean Beach and Pacific Beach.
All in all, San Diego’s beaches have a relaxed atmosphere sprinkled with cosmopolitan vibes. Thousands upon thousands of foreign tourists give the beaches in and around San Diego a worldwide feel. So, if you go down to a San Diego beach, remember to bring all your cool and pizzazz. You’ll need it. You’ll also need some cool and relaxed captions for your photos. Here are our suggestions:
- “You can’t make the perfect wave happen, but once it does, it is better than pretty much anything you could ever experience.”
- “Danced the night away in a Pacific Beach club with my honey bunny.”
- “A sunset on a San Diego beach really is something else. I recommend.”
San Diego SeaWorld Captions
San Diego’s SeaWorld is among the best parks of its kind in the United States. There, you’ll have the chance to see trained dolphins, California sea lions, California otters, and many other animals. The park also has an underwater tunnel for those who want to see sharks up close. If the attractions and rides are more up your alley, the SeaWorld offers the Manta Ray rollercoaster, as well as the Ship Wreck Rapids and Journey to Atlantis rides.
As for the captions on the photos you snap in the SeaWorld, don’t be afraid to get silly and informal. Try and stay all business after petting the dolphins. No chance. As such, some playful and cheerful captions would probably suit the SeaWorld photos the best. Check these out:
- “I’m a dolphin, you’re a dolphin, everybody is a dolphin!”
- “My babe forgot to tell me that the Ship Wreck Rapids ride involves getting wet. Someone’s gonna walk the plank. Yarrr!”

Belmont Park
If you’re in for a classic amusement park experience, then a visit to the Belmont Park is a total must. The park’s been around for almost a century (opened in 1925) and it has a set of 12 rides, a mini golf course with 18 holes, and a number of smaller venues and attractions. When you get hungry, you can grab a bite in one of the many eateries within the park.
Since the park is all about fun and good times, you should slap some funny caps across your selfies for the full effect. Don’t worry too much about grammar and spelling, they’re of lesser importance here. Use some of the following captions as inspiration:
- “The Great Dipper’s one helluva ride! The oldtimer’s still got it!”
- “A new highscore on the golf course! Call me Tiki Woods. XD”
- “Who says that you have to be grown up and responsible? Waiter, another round of pancakes! And don’t skimp on the maple syrup.

The Best Happy Birthday Memes
Love them or hate them, memes are here to stay. Some are dumb, some are genuinely funny but nothing sums up this generation like the meme. Creative, imaginative, sometimes insightful but always entertaining. If you’re looking for some happy birthday memes, you’re in the right place.
I have searched the internet for collections of what I consider some of the best happy birthday memes around. They are not my own work but rather than posting 20 memes on a page, I have collated collections of memes so you get several hundred. There’s sure to be one or two here you like!
Winkgo
Winkgo has collected 101 happy birthday memes on this page and some of them are pretty good. In fact some are actually amusing and that’s harder and harder to do the more memes we see. If you’re looking for something a little different or more good natured than usual, this page should deliver.
Birthday Wishes Expert
This clickbait page with the dumbest name actually delivers on memes. There are a hundred on there and some are quite good. There are the obligatory animal memes but they are pretty good too with decent quality images and fewer grammatical errors in their text than usual. For that alone this page is worth looking at.
Memesbams
Memesbams is one of my new favorite places to find memes. Despite a weird name, the site has a huge collection of good quality memes, including these about birthdays. The mix is good with the usual kids and animals but there are also some more imaginative ones and a few from Game of Thrones which always goes down well. Well worth checking out anyway.
Pinterest never disappoints when it comes to anything image based and while the platform is a merry go round of links to collections to links to collections, this page of happy birthday memes is good, as is this one or this one. There are over five hundred memes on these three pages so if you cannot find what you’re looking for here…
Gifted Geek
Gifted Geek has a bunch of happy birthday memes that appeal to me, Muppets, Tarantino characters, ugly cat and some random animals. Each is of a decent quality with nice images and more imaginative text than many other meme websites. A good collection that works well and should have something for everyone.
Thrifty Nifty Mommy
I would usually avoid any website with a name like Thrifty Nifty Mommy, but this page has some excellent memes. Anything that features Spock, Batman, Morgan Freeman and a Llama gets my vote. Most of these are wholesome and they are all the better for it. There’s sure to be something here you like.
Doggypedia
Dopggypedia is, as its name suggests, an entire website about dogs. This page has over a hundred doggy birthday memes ranging from the cute to the amusing, the lame to the Right Click and Save As… There are a bunch of good ones on this page so is worthy of its place in this list.
